What?

the world’s first and only curated collection of ukulele arrangements.

Welcome to edUKEcation.com, the world’s first and only curated collection of ukulele arrangements. Our differentiated approach meets you where you are, making it easy for players of different skill levels to play together and giving solo players an array of options to help you grow over time.

Every bit of sheet music in our collection is written by dedicated pros who know the ukulele inside and out, blending the musical instincts of composers, players, and conductors alike. Unlike the machine-generated attempts at “one-size-fits-all” sheet music you might find in other places, each piece in our collection is expertly written by an actual human, assessed by the ear of an educator, and arranged especially for you.

About the Ukulele

How do we love the ukulele? Let us count the ways!

This instrument is one of the most welcoming in all the world, able to be picked up and learned by people of every shape, size, background, and budget. Its practicality as a musical literacy-building tool is unmatched, and its versatility can surprise those who aren’t familiar with the richness of its range.

It's Origins

Introduced to the people of Hawaii in the late 19th century by Madeiran immigrants who brought over a small Portuguese guitar called the machete, the ukulele was soon reimagined into the string instrument we know today. Now, it’s generally constructed of wood in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone, all of which typically have four strings (though a few special varieties have six or eight).

It's History

Lightweight and often inexpensive, the ukulele is a highly portable instrument and instant camaraderie builder, perfect for everyone from beginners to accomplished multi-instrumentalists looking to explore new territory. From its Portuguese-Hawaiian origins and its underground popularity in 1930s Japan to its modern viral video ubiquity and widespread use in Canadian school music programs, the “uke” has enjoyed a long and spirited history around the world.
